Hi, in the next month or so, I'm going to make a nes controller with a usb plug at the end for some classic gaming. But the controller I'm cutting up for it has about 16 buttons (and 2 analog sticks.) I'm thinking of adding extra buttons to the nes controller, any suggestions?
Hm, I don't really understand what you're saying. If it's a NES controller, why are you talking about 16 buttons and analog sticks? Are you, say, using a NES controller as a PS2 game controller, or something? If so, ditch the NES controller and get your hands on a SNES controller. It has 12 buttons (opposed to the NES's 8), and it's slightly bigger, so you could cut wholes in it for the analogs. In my opinion, neither would work very well. I mean - it's like trying to fit 12 buttons on a Game Boy Colour. Would you fail? I know I would.
thanks for the suggestions, but, i'm just using the board from the controller, and a was just wondering if i should have buttons on the back for extra stuff (fast forwarding and other stuff)
ok, but i was wondering if i should add extra buttons on the back, or just cope with the button limitations.
Add the extra buttons. Just make sure they're in positions so that you don't always hit them accidentally.
