Just bought a USB controller to play PCSX2 games more comfortably...the problem is how to configure it??? I had keyed the inputs save the bindings as FFXII(2) but what turns up is the keyboard commands which i had already used a few months ago (saved as FFXII)

I'm afraid there is no automatic solution. You must assign controls on pcsx2 for every key on your controller, just like assigning for keyboard.

i've had terrible experiences with the generic controllers, i suggest a 360 one.

Find a good plugin driver and assign each botton to use.

Although I do find them good for other emulators also like project64/no$gba/epsxe est..

yes, i did go through the manual process, but the problem is after assigning it and saving it as a different file, the PCSX2 refuses to switch to the ones that i want to use

I just use a PS3 controller since I have 4 of them laying around. I don't see the point in buying a specialized USB controller or even a 360 one when the PS3 ones work just fine, assuming that you already have a PS3.
