    Sup Romulation Community,
I am purchasing a USB 3.0 case (HAF X). I don't have a 3.0 motherboard, but I was wondering if I could still plug the 3.0 ports into the 2.0 on the motherboard and just use the 3.0 at slower speeds.
    Thanks,
    Gameace

Yes. You will have it at 2.0 speed, though.

As a side question, is 3.0 already out?

AFAIK it doesnt matter what the case ports are rated for, they're all the same. What matters is what the motherboard chipset is. If the chipset is only USB 2.0 then you'll only have USB 2.0.
