*EDIT* OK, just to clarify this is not a thread complaining about low speeds, complaining about what server to use, we all know what server is appropriate to us. The aim of this post was nothing more than providing information, on how the speeds differ from what was usually achieved, in hope that it might prove usefull to the benchmarking of the server. We Were asked to test it after all. *EDIT* Well i noticed the benchmarking message asking for the US server to be used. so i used it, i feel it needs tweaking a little I'm capping at 170-180 kbps usually i get 250kbps minimum
If you are in the USA, it will be slower. The USA server is slower for us Also, the server is down because of a error, I guess.
yeah i usually use the us server have done for a Long time and i get 250-400kbps (it varies but on average in the past i sat around 320kbps) but right now its dropped to 175 and seems stable *shrug* The message tells me there playing around with it, asking people to test it so giving my information
That's odd. I get 2MB/sec from Europe. Granted, I use 4 connections but that's still 500KB/s per connection.
Hey thanks for explaining that I thought I was so suppose try...and...do...some...thing...yeah...something
But if you had gone and checked the download screen you would have seen that it said unlimited speed on the US server...
My speed was about 40kb/s when the benchmark message was up. Now it has dropped to 20kb/s. Stupid New Zealand.
download managers dont seem to make a difference with my speed, i only use one if its a big file (300mb +) so it does't get to 95% and then lose connection
