updating r4

if your r4 is from china do u need to update it with the chinese kernal?

 

i think you can probably just put on the english firmware and it run fine.. i may be wrong tho but all the data runs off the micro SD anyway so it should be fine.. if im wrong.. sorry hope i helped

 

ahh i still need help updating the kernal x.x

all i know i should do is extract everything that that's in the kernal with winzip into the chip.

then i don't know what to do

 

...Actually, that's it. All that's left afterwards is to stick your ROMs on it.

 

yeah you got it just unzip the folder then you should see a few files n folders : "system" "moonshell" etc n just drag n drop them onto your micro SD

you should probably make another Folder on microSD called "Games" or "Roms" and just put the roms in there. thats what i do.

 

just unrar the latest kernal and then stick in your chip and it will work fine
