Unluckiest Gaming Experience

Don't you just hate it when you get really far in a game...and then your battery dies? Or when your about to catch that legendary pokemon...and then you K.O it and you haven't saved beforehand?

Stuff like that.
For me it is the latter of the two and the pokemon in question was Uxie. I couldn't just restart because my last save point was about two hours ago.

 

Very annoying, or when you accidentally knock your Nintendo ds and it corrupts/freezes

 

Yeah I hate that, it happens to me all the time.

 

Aliens vs predator, your going for the trophy "tough hombre" which needs 10 kills in a row online...

8 kills in, vsing a marine and a alien, Sitting in a corner as a pred spamming disc blades...then the marine realises I;ve been camping.

He lobs 4 grenades in my direction-one get's me in the face


I was ahead, but after that hit I changed tatics...the marine won the match by 10 kills

 

Picross. Spended more than 20 hours on puzzles, save game deleted!

 

wow, thats some bad luck samtex but hypnos kinda deserved it for camping.

 

Here's a worse one...


As an alien (no camping here) 7 kills in a row in less than 2 minutes (rushing people like a mad dog) only for a marine and a pred to gang up on me with ranged weapons...


Or the domino effect.


Watched a marine get stealth killed (special attack) by an alien, as a pred I took him down same way (steal kill) only for the original marine to respawn and come back down to kill me from behind (they can't stealth killl...so he filled me with bullets as I was doing so).


FUnny enough he got killed by another pred-plasma caster blew him to bits!

dodgy game pad deleted my FF8 save with over 100 hours but right at start of game 1st time out the garden when you go to fire cavern.
damn its pissing me off now just thinking about it

Here is one that'll make anyone cringe...

At school, we brought our n64 to class, 4 of us...a mini game in mario party comes up twice that day...

3 vs 1, tug of war, with ME as the one.


In the second round, I held them back for 30 mins (the entire lunch break) to JUST LOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


ARRGGGG!!!!!!!!!


...another one which happened to a friend, mario kart 64, toads turn pike (stage with traffic) and a bs moment happens (please note this guy ain't a bad player, even with a dodgy controller that moves half of what a normal stick does-that worn).


Slips on a banana, hit by 2 green shells (one random bounce after the banana, one from a friend) I hit him with 3 red shells (only 2 count as 2 hit him mid air) and a mate in a heavy kart hims him, he rebounds into a truck...

Next on take off, he hits ANOTHER banana, and finally, hit again by a car...


He threw his controller at the nearest wall, with so much force the TV scrambled (even though the console didn't move, and none of the equipment was hit except for the controller-which didn't move the console)!!!


Poor dude, he lost so badly.

 

Did he ever play Mario Kart again?

 

Seriously guys this is nothing..

I was playing Pokemon Ruby and I was thinking "man, I am never trying to catch Latios (Latias? Don't remember), this is too crazy" walking around in random grass.. Then *puff*

WILD LATIAS APPEARS

My starter was a lame pokemon I was leveling up and I had nothing but 1 pokeball. I mean, c'mon, I could had at least an Ultra ball!

Luckily I was using an emulator, so I could save.. But it took me 20 minutes and only god knows how many reload to catch a latias with full health with a pokeball lol

 

In what way is that unlucky? it was quite the opposite actually.

 

Yup, he thinks I cheat, it's just that i'm the only dude of the bunch that could mini turbo.

Sounds like cheats were used, how far were you in the game to have this happen with a starter going?


The moment The "runner" event is unlocked, I'd spends weeks tracking them down, weakening them and then catching...or just a masterball.


And luck had nothing to do with this, not unlucky, more like "random and unprepared".

Lesson-when you can always have 50+ ultra balls incase.

 

I was playing Gta IV in 3D, when all of a sudden Niko punches me in the face and steals my wallet.

 

I was trying to get 100% on gta vice city and my girlfriend saved over my 98% save slot with a new game

Another time I was saving my ratchet and clank game and the power went out.
When it came back on my game save was corrupt

 

No I didn't have "the" starter pokemon in first place (eg Treeko or Mudkip).. I was pretty far in the game, so all my pokemon were above lvl 70, I had this low-level pokemon in the first slot because I was leveling it.

Btw yes maybe "random and unprepared" suits better than unlucky

 

Saves being corrupted is a common one...

Lost my 100% complete super smash bros melee data thanks to f-zero gx and an unofficial memory card (some nintendo games are designed to basically instantly corrupt third part cards and stop 3rd party controllers working).

That was the last time I used that cheap ass memory card...I knew it was f-zero's fault but I liked the game too much
