::EDIT:: This topic has gone haywire, so it can now be considered: "The Universal Theory" thread :)

The only thing I ask is for you to state your own opinion or theory about the topic.

There is likely to be other life forms out there as well as mirror universes, but hey the universe is a strange place

I wouldn't go as far as believing that we're from somewhere else.

That wasn't your opinion last year :p

I'm pretty sure that we're from earth... how the hell would we have gotten here?

BOTH theries of origin makes sence, in the sence that nether makes sence...

We need to come from somewhere right?

All I know is one thing-if there is us-there may be other life forms, prehaps WE are the most intelligent beings in the galaxy, prehaps it's like tv where we are not...

Another thing I do know-with our current technology we won't be meeting them any time soon :(

there might be a strange mass of living life form out there, waiting to be eaten by us.

taking account how large the universe is, it isnt hard to belive there is atleast one or two out there that have intelligent life other then ours........

who knows maybe there is a group of highly evolve intelligent life that is keeping us under protection from other highly evolve intelligent life for being the dumbest intelligent life in the universe.

I wonder how long it takes for one of those comments to come up (You know what I mean)

Anyways; with such a mass of universe and it seems that there is planets capable to sustain our life then there should be other life, sentient or no there is life and evolution can lead to sentience

For all those who think I'm crazy: Just think of how far technology has come in the past 10-15 years. It's completely mind blowing. Also, think of how far technology will go in 10-15 years from now. That, I cannot begin to imagine. Either we're all aliens, or, we took these ideas from aliens. Take the Pyramids for example: Several million tons of stone placed together so precisely that in all these years, at least one of them I know has only settled around one inch! That can be considered impossible in modern architecture. Even buildings we've constructed in the last 200 years have settled at least a few feet.

Lastly, think about the 'face' on Mars I'm sure you all know of. if you compare that to the Sphinx in Egypt, the latitude and longitude coordinates are strikingly close together.

All in all, I'm just trying to get people to really think about this topic. I'm not completely convinced we are from some other planet, or that there are a different, somewhat intelligent species living in our universe. it's just a fascinating subject (to me, at least).

Now with travel, I doubt we have been visited or can visit others, yet. Such as worm holes which seem like they may be able to do some things...

Re: "You killed my son you Klingon bastards"

We're not from another planet, theres this theory called evolution which explains we evolved from more primitive lifeforms... =]

The face on mars is down to the way humans think, it's similar to the way we see thinks like jesus face on stuff like towels or kitkats.

Yes, I understand the theory of evolution, but there's a word there that might confuse people..... Theory. Meaning, it's a unproven idea. You can't disclose the thought of being from a different planet by a theory.

Evolution has been proven... Darwin went to great lengths to prove so.

Evolution is no longer a theory it is a fact.

Re: "You killed my son you Klingon bastards"

No one truly knows where the beginning of humanity started, although we may have evolved from primitive beings and animals around us are still showing proof of evolution, as far as we know we just popped out of the ground. What if the beings we evolved from weren't from this planet? You can't just say you know for a fact we are from earth, because no one truly knows, bottom line. There is so much we don't know about this universe and ourselves to just stick to one idea and that's what really happened. That's just being closed minded. Also, I do remember saying that I wasn't taking this whole 'from another world' thing seriously, it was just to inform people that not everything we believe to be true defiantly is.

Actually there was a big explosion that resulted in othern explosions that start galaxies and solar systems.

    We are dust

That is called the Big Bang theory, again, that is not an absolute proven fact. The farthest we come to proving that is a few people in Britain (I think) made a machine that simulated it.

What you just posted? You didn't even finish what you where going to say... It saves the use of useless comments like "what's that?"
