hi i am using a DSL acekard 2i..if i were to update my acekard 2i with the dsl update will i be able to use it on my new DSI XL ? or should i update my acekard with the firmware update for dsi? any kind soul could help?
Make sure it's the acekard 2i , not acekard 2.1 (2.1 only works on the DS/DS Lite). If what you got is the acekard 2i , just upgrade it with you DSL (check the tutorial here) , then it would work on your DSi XL flawlessly .
i check and double check mine's a acekard 2i..confirm. anyway i ask the shop selling dsi xl about this issue and he say cannot play XL with acekard..2i
Download this, http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/ak2ifw_update_141.zip It is the file you need to update your Acekard's firmware. Put the ak2ifw_update_14_DSL.nds onto the root of your SD card. Run the Acekard on your DSL and run the file like you would run any game. It will ask you if you want to update your card's firmware, Press Start button for yes. After it is done updating, it will tell you to Reboot your DS, your card's firmware will now be updated and you can use it on the DSi and DSi XL that have the newest 1.4.1 firmware.
