uhh explain the "real time cheat funtion?" please?

Briefly, the real time cheat function modifies variables in memory while the game is being played. For example, a 99 lives cheat would find the memory location where the current number of lives is stored, and changes that value to 99. As you may expect from something that modifies variables outside of the program code, it could crash your game, or in the worst case corrupt your saves.

As for how to use it, that would depend on what hardware you are referring to.
