TTDSi Upgrading won't work

Okay, so I have a TTDSi and I did the upgrading process I read somewhere in this forum and when I run the TTi14UPGRADE.nds on my ds , it's loading then it says "Open ROM_PCB1.DAT=ERROR". Can someone tell me how to fix it please?

what firmware are you using because it only works on 1.17 and not unofficial ones....
or your ttdsi might be fake... i dont no,try putting 1.17 off the official website on your ttdsi again and please tell me if it works

I have just downloaded the new DSTT firmware, update is dated 21/12/2009.
here is the site for the download.

I have tested it on Avatar, Rabbids go home, Assassins Creed II, and Battle of Giants Dragons.

And I can confirm that they are all working ok on the Original DSTT card.
Don't use the upgrade program just update the firmware manually it should work OK if it isn't a fake card.

If it is fake then you will need to search for the unofficial 1.17a07 firmware and try that.

If you are having trouble then could it be that your card is fake and the SD card is killed?

 

The TTDSi card thing use to work, but then I updated my dsi so it won't work anymore. And I don't really know how to update the firmware stuff...

You didn't put all the files on your MicroSD. It is looking for the file ROM_PCB1.DAT and cannot find it.

Put all three files that are in the download on your MicroSD, all in the same folder.

 

I put the ROM_PCB1 and ROM_PCB2 in the nds folder, along with the TTi14UPGRADE.nds and it still doesn't work.

 

Backup your games, format your MicroSD, and reload the firmware (any will do, really, even official 1.17).

Then redownload the 1.4 fix

Put all three files right on the Root of your MicroSD (not in any folder). And start the TTDSi, and run the Update file.

 

It just shows up as a white screen now

 

I take that u are using an ordinary DS Lite to change over to 14 firmware and not DSI,
you must do changes on DS Lite then put TTDSI back in DSI.

 

Changes as in the upgrading? the upgrading won't work when I try it on my ds lite

 

you have to use offichal firmware to upgrade which is 1.17... after the update you can put the unafichal stuff back on which is 1.17a12.
downlaod the firmware from the ofichal ttds website which is http://www.ndstt.com/download.html

I now know what you are trying to do.
Did you follow the instructions on the official web site? its quite clear that you will need a DS not a DSI to do the upgrade and you have to be using version 1.5 firmware.

The upgrade program is trying to update the firmware that is actually on the card so it will have to check for the correct NVRAM chip to update.
So if you are still having problems you might download the fake checker.

If it is a fake then the update will not work because the update program will not find the the correct chip ID in the card.

If you need to buy a new card that will be official I always buy my cards from buyn5.com.
