Just set up my TTDS with a MicroSD card, copied 2 games on to it but when I power up the DS the menu appears fine, however, when I select a game from the list I get the error message [Rom loading failed] and load rom errcode=-7 Please help!

He should have, archives don't appear in the list. Make sure to load it from the menu, not moonshell.

    Thank you for the replies.

Loonylion - I started this thread, therefore, I resent your accusation of hijacking someone else's. I had a problem with a particular game not loading and having searched the thread under 'Technical Help' I could not find one that matched the problem I was experiencing. I apologise if I have inadvertently opened a thread on exactly the same topic as one which is already out there, but, might I suggest that as an Administrator your time would be better used improving the Search capability of the forum rather than berating genuine novices like myself who are simply seeking guidance from people with more experience!

Almo - thank you for your helpful and constructive reply. I had extracted the file on my PC and got a .NDS file and an MS Info file (must admit I really don't know what the MS Info file is far/contains/does!). I then copied those files on to the MicroSD and popped it in to the TT. On powering up the NDSL the menu booted and I was faced with an icon for each of the games I'd copied on to the MicroSD. Only one - Wall E - refuses to load displaying the error code I described in my original request for help. I'm beginning to think it's a problem with that particular file as all the other files I copied appear to run the games attached to them without any issues.

Anandjones - thank you for your helpful, constructive and nonjudgmental reply! Unfortunately, my abject lack of knowledge comes to the fore! The only option I think I have, or that up until now I have seen, is to load from the menu - the upper screen displays a steel-grey background with the TT logo and the lower screen a list of the games on the card with a scroll bar on the right. If I have been in/on 'Moonshell' it has been entirely by accident and in no way intentional.

Thank you both for your help.

Yep, that's the default background for DSTT :) You're welcome :)

it was on the bottom of another thread, I split it off into its own thread. Hence it hijacked another. Also the search capability is fine, you just need to use it in the right place, i.e if you use it when you are in a topic or board it will search ONLY that topic or board, therefore you need to use it from the main index. If you don't like it I suggest you email the SMF developers about it, though since there is supposedly going to be a new release imminently I don't think they'll do anything.

o_O I had the same problem with my DSTT for two roms.. Each time I went to http://www.linfoxdomain.com/ds/ got the latest firmware and it worked..

Some roms work with older firmware but I've found that some of the latest rom's don't (for whatever reason).. Again, the latest firmware fixes it.

I downloaded the latest 1.15 firmware but for some reason the TT menu won't come up unless i still have the older firmware saved on the card too :-\

Has helped with most games that had save file errors but there are quite a few that still have Errcode....7 errors such as Grid.

Could someone please give a complete technophobe as myself an idea on what to do ???

Wait for a newer firmware release.

You're doing something wrong if you still need the older firmware to be on the card, I'm not even sure how that is possible, unless you placed all of the old files in another directory or something.
