Trying to Arm7 Patch Sonic Chronicles, having a few issues

So, I tried the gui and non-gui versions of arm7 injector. The GUI version would tell me it's done, but there would be no output ROM.

I tried the non-gui version, and after a brief second it quit. I used cam studio to record the portion of my desktop its running on to catch any messages that appear, and what I get is:

So it seems its having problems with the ndstool.exe file.

For the record, in the injector folder I have

Donor <folder> --> contains simcity rom
Patient<folder> --> contains sonic chonricles rom
fix.bat
ndstool.exe
readme.txt

Anyone know how I can fix this?

 

Hmm, it turns out I can edit the .bat file directly in notepad++ (the things I never knew!), so I wonder if maybe instead of putting in "ndstool", writing in a complete reference to it like c:\arm7injector\ndstool.exe would work?

Of course, I know nothing about compiling .bat files... do they even need compiled, or are they interpreted on-the-fly?

ok, I fiddled a little and made it a concrete reference. It then tells me it cannot open "*.nds" for both the donor and patient

 

I tried arm7 too, it doesn't work for this game. But the Mega Overload method does. I made a thread yesterday about it. ;p IT also has links to the fully fixed game

Did you get the injectors from omgrofl?

 

Should've just used DSLazy to unpack and repack the rom with the patching Arm7.bin...
