Hello, i need help with some old gmaes that dont want to run on 7, not even with compatibility mode..., here is the list:

Mass effect 1 & 2 and Star wars the old republic AKA SWTOR (old i know but i wanted to play it before SWKOTOR) oh and Fallout 3.

Mass Effect 1 gives me an error with the .exe file, not even on compatibility mode seems to run, nor the config utility (i like to play my games on windowed mode)

Mass Effect 2 crashes after installing nothing works.

Fallout 3 crashes after i select new game, it also crashes the whole system, i was testing the GOTY edition.

SWTOR wont even run, even after i apply the fix, that is downloading a small file and pasting it to the directory.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on dark athena wont work either.

I have other gmaes that run Slow, The Darkness II and Assasins Creed II run but are both slow and laggy to the point of being unplayable, same goes for deus ex HR.

The last game on my list of wont work is The lord of the rings game made by winter studios, it gets to the loading screen and gets stuck there.

    Suggestions, pointers? please.

if anything starts to verge on warez i beg of you people lets take it to PM

Also i have turned off the stereo mix option since i've read it wont let some games run, i am about to get Bioshock 1 so pointers for that one would be good

It depends on what (GPU) graphics/video processor is on your computer (hardware). Some games will not run without one or will be too slow. Also DirectX libraries may need to be updated. You can check your GPU processor specs and the version of DirectX by entering dxdiag in Windows start menu search bar.

yeah darkness was fixed by running it on the minimal resolution, mass effect 1 was also fixed via direct x9, but it's a pain to keep switching between directx's since the pack that windows offers merley updates it, it wont install all the directx needed
