Transfering games from R4 to Acekard 2i

do I need the "set file" when transfering games from R4 to Acekard

I usually move all 3 files to the acekard
.nds
set file
.sav

But I noticed the Acekard does not generate a set file when playing a new rom

so do I even need the set file from the R4??

 

No, you don't need the set file.

Just backup your saves.
