my dad got 2 emails now about copyright infringement from my torrenting specifics (coraline and wrath o/t titans), so after looking online, i found out about forcing protocol encryption, and just now enabled it. so does that mean my ISP can no longer find out names of torrents, and only that im doing it, or what?

Fail. I just downloaded both of those (like literally, 3 days ago) and got no email.

Back on topic, you pretty much summed it up.
They cannot find the names of the torrents that you are using etc. So don't worry.

well ive also downloaded a shitton of other stuff, and ive read about high activity causing them to look deeper. leads me to wonder why they would single out just those two at the different big rushes

Usually its detected by an antipiracy firm who are part of the swarm, and they take the IPs of everyone in the swarm.

so forcing encryption hides my ip?

no it doesn't. All encryption does is stops people watching the traffic from knowing you're using bittorrent. it makes absolutely no difference to people within the swarm unless they have encryption disabled. (in which case they cant connect to you or see you)
