Too new at this forum

    Hi, i am n3wbi3. I am new here and love this site. It allows me to use IDM or other download accelerator to download Roms. It's better than almost all ( sure, i doesn't cover all Rom download site ) Rom sites. Please enjoy my stay here.

    NB : I'm Indonesian. I can't speak English so much, because i will need my dictionary , ( that's so heavy! ) so if i am spelling wrong, sorry.

    I thought the Download site doesn't allow or support download accelerators?

    We allow download managers, but not accelerators. The difference is a download manage only allows resuming, whereas an accelerator opens multiple connections simultaneously, which we don't allow.

    IDM is a download manager. It basically works the same as your browser, but includes technology to allow you to pause and resume downloads (or resume if the download gets cut off for whatever reason). It only uses one connection to our server to download the entire file.

    A download accelerator will open multiple connections to the server, so it can download the file in parts, with several parts downloading at the same time. This causes extra work for our server, and since there is a cap on how many connections our server allows, it means less people can download. (because one person is using 5 connections instead of 5 people using one connection each).

    always like to see new faces (because that way I'm not the new one ja,ja,ja ) By the way I'm from Costa Rica (we speak Spanish ) and also don't spell so well but, you can do it just touch the "spell check" button below whatever you are writing and change whatever is wrong.

    yeah, very close actually if I weren't 99% sure you search it in a dictionary I would tell you speak a very good Spanish

    Uh, actually I didn't use a dictionary... I take spanish 3 in high school, I know what bienvenidos or whatever means.
