Tomb raider legend glitch

    My TRL for ds keeps jumping to a black screen after a checkpoint in the middle level. I've retried twice, but it's the same. And in croft manor, all i find is the artifact at the start. All the other artifacts are missing (or i'm a really bad hunter). Is there any explanation for these happenings?
    p.s. dont call me a noob. Im just a person who wants to play a fully-working game.

    How are you playing the game?
    Emulator?
    Flashcart?

    What type/version, etc.

    arrgh its so annoying =[
    AND my R4 cr*pped up so i have to format it but i lost all my saves and data =[ NOO but i have a friend who is willing to give me his ds menus and other data
    but i have to start all over again for my games...
    anyways TRL its got lots of glitches and read above it jumps to blk screen.
