So, you can go back in time. What are the 3 top (actions) things that you would you do? It does not affect the future, its just for fun, and to make yourself feel better about something. You would phisically go back in time, so don't do anything stupid -Kill The Jonas Sisters Brothers -Kidnap Selena Gomez -go to the 90's and stay there (everything was better back then) (please don't say 'to stop me from making this topic XD just go along with it)
There was this video on Youtube that practically ended my fascination with time travel See it says something like this: You MIGHT be able to build a working time Machine but.... 1. You can only go back as far as to when the machine was first turned on. 2. Because future circumstances have infinite possible outcomes, a future where no one no longer exists to go back in time might be one of the outcomes. 3. And let's say you turn on the machine for all eternity & reason number two does occur, nothing might come back in time to when you first turned on your machine which might lead you into thinking your device didn't actually work. 4. On the issue of turning your machine on for all eternity, this too is impossible for several reasons such as a suitable power source. So yeah, time travel will most likely be just Science fiction rather than science fact
its still a what if... i loved the movie "the time machine" this is what sorta brought up this topic... time travel is an interesting topic though, some scientist say we have already gone back in time without even realizing it, its called time-leaps i believe.
Prevent the death of John Lennon, George Harrison and Freddie Mercury. And also prevent the "Day the Music Died"
2. If no one existed, then who built the time machine? Once again you raise the issue of paradoxes... I think you'll find that we're all travelling through time at this very moment, that, and the fact that time is non-linear and can be manipulated suggests that time travel may be entirely possible.
I'd hate to go back in time. If there's one thing I hate more than anything, it's doing something again or having the choice to change something where the decision was already made. I'm believer in "Everything happens for a reason".
I wouldn't change anything, im completely happy personally and I don't give a fuck about the rest of the world. I'd maybe pick a winning lottery ticket if im forced to give an answer.
well one thing for sure, you dont know that as nobody have discover the equation to prove how time ticks, everyone know its there because we can see it effect but nobody know how it work or why its there. its not possible, when you go back to the past, you already alter the future. hell if i got a time machine, i'll collect all the lottery result for the past 30 years and give it to my past self, but that only if i discover that i'm in the same timeline and not on some alternated universe.
I would go back in time and kill the younger me, which would mean i would never have grown old to be able to go back in time to kill myself which would then make the universe implode.
well when you kill the younger you, you would either create a future where you never grow up and disappear right after the younger version of you dies or you create an alternate universe which is differ from your current timeline.
Just in theory, you'd possibly have no free will to change anything in the past that could affect the future. For example trying to kill your past self would possibly be forcefully stopped by an stronger power. We went to space in the 20th century, and we could very well be going through time in the 21st. Remove all the fictional stuff we've learned from time travel, and the possibility of doing so is actually realistic.
i see were all scientists here its just for fun people it would not change the future, think of this like a day dream or something of the sort. Maybe think of it like that movie "CLICK" you can tell your friends in the present: "i kicked Justin Biber in the balls to see how he could react if i did that" obviously no one would believe you, but you know the sissy boy cried Spoiler
Touche my good man Actually, the video stated that, let's say you made your time machine today & turned it on at exactly 12 noon. If it does work & was turn on for all eternity people who know of it from a possible future time "might" be able to travel back to that exact time you turned on the machine but not earlier in the past. Let me try look for that video then.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRWwI61so5Q&feature=fvw W00t, the video is already 3 years old, so yeah it's probably already been debunked LOL!
