threads of Fate

I'm trying to run the Threads of Fate PSX ISO on PSX 1.13

My problem is, in the male character's story, the game gets to what appears to be a load screen (might not be, might just be the start of the second area) and the character just walks in place. In the female character's story, I get to the 3rd area (forest) and then invisible walls are in bizarre places (right in the way of the path) making it almost impossible to move forward, and completely impossible to use magic. Is there any way to fix this?

PS. the link to the ePSXe patches is broken.

 

I recommend getting ePSXe 1.7 and using google to find the plugin pack (the same on linked in these forums, but the link here is dead).

I downloaded the game just now and it starts up without any problem. Choosing the male story and I made it past the opening scene, through a small fight, and onto the present time. (trying to be as vague here as to not spoil anything).
