thousand arms

i can start it on my epsxe just fine but when i do start it it cuts my controls so i can't hit start or anything all i can do is hit esc and shut down the emulator

 

What version of ePSXe are you using? What is your graphics plugin?

 

1.7 and peops soft driver 1.17

 

Try using a better plugin, like Pete's OpenGL2 or Pete's D3D.

If that doesn't work, try using ePSXe 1.5.2 or 1.6.0

 

ok ill try an older version cause ive tried both those plugins

 

ive tried older versions still does the same thing

 

What about trying a different emulator like PSX

 

I'd say it's a graphics plugin configuration issue.

Assuming the controller is working properly, it's probably just freezing on the start screen, which is most the of them a plugin issue. There are lots of options in the plugins. Try the default "nice" settings first, then the "fast", then try some of the game fixes. Even if a game fix isn't listed specifically for a particular game, it may help with other games that have similar issues.
