The game locks up at a certain point for me (First disk, main character tries his hand at blacksmithing. sound loops, and animation stops) I run ePSXe 1.6.0, anybody have any helpful words of advice?

What graphics plugin are you using?

Try getting ePSXe 1.7.0, and using that. You might want to try 1.5.2 as well. Try them both, and then try different plugins.

Its been so long since i checked the plug-in's, i'm running pete's plug-in's if i remember correctly.

I've tried 1.7.0 but i've run into a snag telling me "This application has failed to start because zlib1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

google zlib1.dll, download it and place in the ePSXe directory.

Alright, I got 1.7.0 to work! A lot of my sound errors from the previous version are fixed..... but the game still locks up in the same place. any suggestions?

Update: I've tried 4 different graphics plug-ins and I've tried both ver 1.7.0 and 1.5.2 and nothing seems to fix it. I'm starting to get desperate

Update 2: A friend of mine tried it out on his ePSXe emulator, he says thats its something wrong with the ISO, so if its a bum ISO, could the current ISO be replaced? or can I be located to a place that has a stable one? (this site is awesome, but I REALLY want to play this game.)

Update Final: Thanks to some off-site friends, I was able to solve the problem, the ISO needs to run with a specific audio plug-in (eternal spu 1.41). Still, thanks to those who helped me upgrade my emulator to what it is now.
