Then yes, but you have to stay motivated and practise unless you want to get owned by MvC2 fans.

This is why Im not getting it, I could never play the SF games because of the mechanics.

And thus this game shall also be ignored despite the hype :(

My friend is getting it for the 360. I'm going to secretly get it for the PS3 and pretend like I've never played it before...and then pwn his ass!

Yeah. I heard it's going to be like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in terms of controls.

    Also....

...WHERE THE EFF IS HIRYU!? D:

    Fix'd.

Zero's nice, but he just isn't megaman, and megaman is surely a better-known capcom character than zero. Also, he's been in every other MvC, why take him out now? It's not like he's deserving of it by being teh cheapness like iceman. (and I have MvC2 for PS2, believe me, Iceman is TOO DAMN CHEAP)

Ah, well, who am I to give a crap, the PS2 is my only home console :p

Still, get it, the MvC series are some of the best 2D fighters you can get.

Samanosuke or a Rival Schools/Project Justice character would have been nice.

MvC 3 is gonna have a lot of characters and refined graphics.I think it'll live up to it's successor MvC2. :) :)

Well, actually, I'll find out in 28 minutes...which has passed already.
Oh, and for anyone that cares, the game size is actually only 3.16 GB...I hope it's better than what most games around the same size are...

Someone by the name of Duplex has already released a dump of the game before it's release date.
    It's a scene release so it's legit.

Depending on what firmware it's going to bug me for (3.55 yes, or 3.56+ no) is determining whether I can play it or not.

So far they make you do a game data install. (stupid since I'm playing off my HDD anyway)
Black background with red silhouettes of all of the characters when installing game data.
And the install itself is taking for freaking ever. (Can you imagine the install time for a disc?)
Made me hit OK 10,000 times to tell me I have no save data/I'm offline/I'm offline/I'm offline/I'm offline. Did I mention I was offline?
Deadpool kind of says Shoryuken, and it looks pretty similar. lol
First Trophy: Need a Healing Factor
Second and third trophies: Average Joe, Brusin' Bruce.
You can save your progress if you switch characters (through the character select screen) Nice feature.
Just figured out holding L1 switches characters during the fight.
One of these stages looks like they ripped off Uncharted 2 with the 6 armed guy/statue? Either that or Uncharted 2 ripped it off from whatever game this references.

I'll keep updating this post with more info.

Oh, and Ken is basically the same thing as Ryu...like Mario and Luigi are in SSBB.
Still, they only used up 3.16 GB out of 25 GB on the disc, could've at least included him and Megaman...

In short, this game would be more fun if I were actually good at it...and this relies too heavily on online components...but then again, most fighters do. They could have at least used up more than twice the space that they actually used. If they had, this game would probably be exponentially better than what it is now, like having a shitload of characters...

And it seems that you get everyone at the start...I liked it better when you had to unlock stuff...defeats the purpose of actually playing if everything is unlocked for you...

Dude, this big purple freak is about to kick my ass...

I take that back. New character unlocked!
Replay Value just went up 3 points...

But seriously though, this game definitely deserves a rental, but if it's priced at $60 to buy it, I don't think it's worth half that. I don't think it's THAT GOOD that it deserves a $60 price tag.

    GOD I KNOW THAT FEELING.

The worst offender is probly Mortal Kombat Armageddon for PS2, Xbox and Wii. 62 Characters to play as, and 60 are unlocked from the start :p

Yeah, it seems that way in this game as well. Most of it is unlocked for you at the start. Only a handful of characters are unlocked later.

The reason Super Smash Bros. (at least Melee) was so popular was that they gave you hardly anything to start with, and the rest was up to you to unlock. Stages, characters, and those trophies that had a little tidbit about the games the person was in.

This isn't a spoiler at all so I'll say it. I unlocked Akuma. No surprise, but jesus, they put in Akuma and didn't put in Ken? WTF?

MvC3 is pretty much tournament built. A major complaint from MVC2 was that you had to unlock stuff.
