Which was the reason it was labeled for 5.03 and under...But now that you can use ChickHEN on 6.20, will it still work with that?

    Guide is here:http://pspslimhacks.com/easy-chickhen-custom-firmware-installer-without-pandora/

    Uh.. what.. ?

You can't use chickHEN on 6.20, and that guide is pretty much outdated.

So i'm guessin the following quote isn't the same thing?..

TN HEN is only for 6.20, while chickHEN is for 5.03.
    both are totally different.

I know this problem requires own thread but can you do this without a pandora battery

    Ooooh...
Well then, I got some more questions, and i'm gonna ask here to stop from making more topics... I am using the Prometheus loader with TN HEN to utilize ISO images...2 questions on this..

    1. Will any games need patches? If so, how?
    2. Is it true it won't run CSO's? I could REALLY use the space. >.<

    EDIT:
Could you explain a bit more?..

Well to my little knowledge chickHEN is like a partial hack isn't it, so does your psp still require a pandora battery

ChickHEN, TN HEN, etc. can be used without a Pandora battery, but it depends on which OFW version you're using. It works great for me to play ISOS/Emulators, I just wanna have it Permanently. :)

Tip: It is "Semi"-Permanent... Just don't power off completely, my PSP goes into powersave-like mode when I just flick the power instead of holding it, and it keeps :D

    1. Patched games won't work on Prometheus ISO Loader, only the CLEAN/UNTOUCHED games. If you load it, it will just bring you back to XMB.

    2. Yeah, it won't. Only ISO. If there any updates for it, pretty sure they will fix that up.

    Are you running on 2K?

    1. Well fuck, I just downloaded about 7 patched games...Any way to unpatch?

    2. That's fine, wanted to make sure, I used UMDGen to convert it to ISO. :p

    And ya, 2k.

That's fine, but we'll continue via PM. :) Just wanna make sure my questions keep getting answered and not reading another post and forgetting. It's happened before. :(

    It's a 2001 with a TA-085 MotherBoard....

    OFW V6.20

And that REALLY sucks...I've spent the last few hours downloading games, quite a few of which are patched. :(

EDIT: I think I may have just depatched a game. >.<

Well, have you ever thought to downgrading it?

I've only heard of it a few times, and they ALL say it's dangerous and it should NEVER be done...And I also don't have a working Pandora Battery...

I guess you already know about the TN-B downgrading feature..

Ah, yes it is a RISKY procedure, but its worth.

    1. Never heard of it. =/

    2. Why is it so risky?...

EDIT:.... Maybe my Pandora battery IS NOT bad... It seems the maximum size for a magic Memory Stick is 2GB...

    TA-085 motherboard? v1 or v2?

    1. Those who are using TN-B can downgrade their PSP to its available firmware without the use of Pandora. Google around.

    2. Because the process touch and modify the flash0 files inside your PSP, as well other important files.

Is there any specific way to tell using PSPident?

    1. Guessing it's based on the motherboard?

    2. Sounds a LOT like when I modded my Wii...
