This is the most excited I've ever been in joining a community

    I have to start out by first saying that this is the first time in a long time I've ever posted in an introduction thread.

    My handle is Rockman4140, I've gone and still go by many others. I've been looking for a community like this for ages. The admins are adamant, they encourage intelligence and courtesy, and hopefully the community has reflected that.

    I am an old school gamer through and through. It seems that games are even less inspired than they were back in the day. While certain series (AKA Megaman) still follow that rule, I still have so many great memories of so many great games that nothing has been able to replace.

    As for emulation, I learned of it years ago, back when I was a PC n00b. I was absolutely baffled that you can play SNES games on your PC. Since that moment I've learned that almost anything is possible with PCs. The emulation community has that "hacker" spark still instilled in them, and it's very invigorating. I've always looked up to those with the skills to code emulators and whatnot, I'd really like to work on a project like that myself, but I still lack the skill.

    I'm up for discussion of old games, technology, music, whatever really. If you are looking for a partner for some old games, I'd be more than glad to pull all my emulators from my PC to my failtop and game. It's been ages since I played a good game of Gunstar Heroes!     Welcome to RomUlation ^.^ Ya... ROM's are great for those older games that we can no longer find among the dust in our closet.

    I wouldn't say we're adamant, more like we don't take bullshit. But if you have a good reason for having done something stupid, (not knowing it's stupid is not a good reason) then we're usually willing to at least listen. :p

    Welcome though, the more the merrier. :D

    That's what I was referring to. Y'all seem adamant, yet human. Most admins act above everyone else, and from what lurking I've done you all seem like very enjoyable people. Not to mention how well coded the features for the website are and the download system, it seems you know what you're doing. XP

    I'm glad I found this place, communities like this are rare.
