I know, a lot of people have the freezing problem after the first "fight" with the frogs. But no matter what I do, I can't find a fix. Opening and closing the DS hasn't worked any of the 5 times I've tried, and the save file someone shared on another forum was for a different card than mine (.dat file instead of .nds.sav).

Please, please help! I'm desperate for a fix. I have an acekard 2.1 with a sandisk 2 gig microSD card. I have no idea how to fix this!

www.shunyweb.info will allow you to convert save files.

Wait, the fight freeze was solved? What about the blacking out after the title screen?

Thats weird so was mine (I just switched to a Kingston 8 GB). I would try redownloading the game and making a new save file. See if that helps.
