'The World Ends With You' freezing problem

Hi, if anyone could help me with this problem, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I have an R4 with the latest updated firmware (1.18) and I'm currently trying to play 'The World Ends With You'. I'm on the 2nd week (Joshua chapter), 3rd day, where you have to get through Miyashita Park Underpass. However, as soon as I exit there to go to the new area, my screen fades to black (most likely because it's a transition to the new area), the music starts looping from the last five notes, and it basically freezes. I've redownloaded the game from different sites, but it all ends with the same result. Everything else in the game is normal, until I get to that part of the game. I don't think my .sav file is corrupted, because that would mean I wouldn't be able to open my game at all, right?

Are there any suggestions to help solve this?

Backup all your data and reformatt your card. Other people (like me) have played and beat TWEWY fine with the latest R4DS firmware.

 

I followed your advice and reformatted my card, and now it works! Thank you!
(It's 2.0GB. Thanks anyway though.)

Yeah, that's the size capacity of the MicroSD, he wanted to know the brand, Sandisk Kingston etc. You're welcome
