How to play "Pokémon: HG or SS

1. Download Patch.rar and get a Patch.exe file from the RAR archive.

2. Drag your Clean ROM and drop it onto the Patch.exe. That's all.

Note:
game to be patched by Universal Child's Play Patch.

The file having the ".bak" extension is the backup copy of the original nds file.

An event is like walking into a door, battling a trainer, encountering a wil Pokémon, like that.

 

If anyone has an acekard, please test this to see if it fixes the random freezing issues.

 

ive spoke to trainers, in and out of doors, in and out of citys, still no freeze. Thanks alot

What random freezes? I'm using acekard 2i with AKAIO 1.6RC2 and i'm 39h into the game, 8 badges, and only had one freeze on the 1.6RC1 (photograph with running shoes on) which didn't happened again after the update.

 

Works fine on the R4 with YSMenu

Had 3 badges and did 30 events and perfectly fine, too lazy too test any further since I got Acekard.
Reports on GBATemp say 500+ish so it should be an if not almost 100% fix.

(These links are for an updated patch, the ones on the 1st post are outdated and die at 70 events so OP or a Mod should update if they can)

Been told as long as your .nds and .sav have the same name, it will work(Meaning your Jap Trans should work fine).

how do i use the patch it com up as a bak file but my r4i gold cant read it

 

The .bak file is a backup of the rom.
Put the .nds one on your rom, that should/will work.

its working on r4ds version 1.19

 

running YSmenu on my R4 Clone (not sure wich clone, but some cheap version)
and it works so far, ran in and out of a builing 100+ times, no freezeup!

there's a bak.file and the normal file (nds.) that doesn't seem to have changed after patching
which file i put on my r4?
