I know the search bar bitches all the time & tells you that your search should contain words that have more than two letters in it, but this:

    http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?action=search2

Is too much :( C'mon, I was searching for a particular thread title there :p

Methinks master seph needs to have a talk with Mr. searchbox yet again :(

    EDIT:

I need to rephrase this, seeing as I tried logging off then I viewed the thread as an anonymous "guest" & found that the link I provided does not show what I tried searching for.

Anyway, what I was searching for was the "Post a Random Picture" thread in forum games as the thread was buried a few pages or so & when I hit the search box the result gave me that "your searches must contain words with two or more letters on it" message.

Good thing I decided to double check the thread before I got yelled at.

A lot of search bars are like that. Things like "an" would return way too many results.

Before the forum's software (SMF) was updated the search bar used to be more sensitive than this. Now for it to find searches like that, you need to go into advanced search & try your luck with its better options for optimal search results.

I don't see the problem, you search for "Post a Random Picture", it says each word must be at least two letters, you remove a and search for "Post Random Picture". You choose result number 5.

    Am I missing something?

The search bar often has a hard time finding any result/s to a search if what you're looking for (for example a specific thread title) uses the article "a" or the pronoun "I". That is unless you go into advanced search for better results.
