The saddest and unhappy ending?

every reader expect happy ending to their 'best anime/manga in the world'...unfortunately,some have a very sad ending..like..
SAMURAI X..Arghh...somebody..give me a tissue..

 

i like an ending like Death Note or Code Geass because they kill off the protagonist and the stories are quite good

 

Hmmm.... I'd like to ask if Samurai X has a manga.

I only watched the Samurai X movie where Kenshin and his Wife[forgot her name] are very sick, didn't watch the ending part "-_-

Haven't managed to finish the anime series.
