the romU irc

Hello, I've decided to try the irc seeing as the other places I go for active chats are slowing me down...

I have a few questions though...


1.I heard there is a program/irc client that can store my log in details so I can avoid what i done last time (I typed out my password to the entire chat because i messed up the code )

2....what is the irc link again?

3.If it's not too much, can anyone check if "hYpNoS" is in use there?

The only names in use there are the names people use. ie: Your name isn't taken.
The IRC channel is #romulation.
You can get on from www.mibbit.com w/o using log in info.
You can also try out mIRC and other IRC clients that launch from your computer rather than the browser.
There is also the Chatzilla add on for Firefox.

 

The server is irc.imperium.ca.
Most clients will have auto-identify, so you automatically get logged in when you connect.
Alternatively, you could just use an unregistered nick.
You can also change your password if need be.

 

On mIRC and other places, it will just be Imperium, but with Chatzilla, you need the entire thing.

Ok, I went there ages ago, fell out, all I want speficifally is a irc browser that can store my details, I just want to turn on my laptop, turn the program on and it would auto log me in.

Idiot proofing.

 

I have never found an IRC client that actually requires you to log in really. I guess if you register your nick name or actually sign up on Mibbit or something, but I never have.

I dont want to use a non registered nick on romU as I've been ghosted out many times.

I want to register a nick there, but I dont want to keep logging it in every time as due to poor memory/horrid keyboard useage I dont want to end up giving out my log in name by accident, I lost my one which is why i stopped using irc...because I screwed up.

It is, I used to do irc, ot much happened while I was there...the us and canadians would be asleep so I'd miss out...

Im there, but I get the error "please do not type into this tab, use an actual command instead" and...yea Im lost.
