The newest firmware doesn´t work on R4

When i try the R4 Ultra 1.54 kernel, it just goes to loading... and never loads. (The 1.54 is supposed to work on SDHC, its says so on the Mario & Luigi topic). The same thing happens when i try the 1.26 firmware. Please help me.
(Is there any other firmware that works for Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story?)

 

You have bean to the website thats on the box?, Because that is the firmware for that card!, You could try reformating your card, and start again!

 

Generally firmware from other clones will not work. That's the main cause of the 'loading' issue.

ATTENTION ALL R4 SDHC USERS

How to get Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story working for R4 SDHC Users (Confirmed by kguy528):

1. Go to R4ultra.com and download the 1.54 english kernel and move files directly to the root of your SD

2. Download the 1.4.1 Akaio loader from the first page of this topic and move files directly to the root. (Yes, you will use two loaders)

3. Take a clean rom of ML3, and manually patch it via the patch in the first post of this topic

4. Instead of going to your roms when you start up your R4, select AKmenu4.nds that should be in the root
along with the _aio folder. Select your patched ML3 rom and play the game.

5. There you go! I am well past the bowser tutorial battle so far, and nothing has gone wrong. Enjoy. ;D

Note: It is very important that the contents of the Akaio 1.4.1 be in the root of your SD card, otherwise it will not work properly. This same method also works for Kingdom Hearts, taking the manually patched ROM and loading it via Akaio.

 

Dose you card match the box, nothink slightly diffrent in anyway?

Unless the card is flatey, Also chack your microSD memcard size and if it says SDHC on it

 

One thing i have noticed, is that on my box it says www.r4sdhccn.com and on others it says www.r4sdhc.com. Maybe mine is a bad copy?

 

Stick with your original site for firmware

they are two versions there mabe, R4 SDHC v1.24 kernel and R4i SDHC v1.08 kernel

You box dose not say R4i, So it must be R4 SDHC v1.24

Have you tryed the basic TTMenu with ysmenu.nds original kernal?

All that has to be done to know, Is run ysmenu.nds and save it, If not work's deleate ttmenu folder and ysmenu.nds

 

I think so, but i will try again. When i boot up M&L BIS it just goes to a white screen.

 

Are you using the original rom not a trimed one?, The original rom is 128MB in size

Also enable cheat code

 

is there another update for firmware for the r4 i have 1.18 kernel, where can i find a new version of this?

I doubt 1.23 fixes this game, however it works fine with YSMenu/DSTT firmware 1.17a07.

 

Where can i find that firmware? DOes it work on SDHC?

The R4i and the R4Ultra won't work on the R4 SDHC
I have also a R4 SDHC with a 4GB kingston in it and the other kernels
will not work on the SDHC I've tried it myseld and it only says loading

 

What will not work and say loading?

will not work on a R4SDHC cartridge you will need the
R4SDHC kernel v. 1.26 (or older if you want) to get it work

with R4 v. 1.26 kernel
