The NDS Emulator

    Why does the emulator run roms at such a slow speed and is there anyway to fix this?

    Wait until NDS emulation improves; its early days yet. Elsewhere on the forum I've written an explanation of why its slow, see if you can find it ;)

    And just to make certain what loony said is clear, no, you can't really improve the speed. You can increase compatibility rate by messing with settings but not speed. (I found that even turning sound off didn't improve speed)

    the newest i have is no$gba 2.6a...

    is there any newer version??

    Go to your Process manager, and set no$gba.exe to a higher priority, that should help just a bit, turning the sound off does too. (On the options, not on your speakers >_>). Dont expect some major improvement though.

    Which increases the RAM it uses, removing other unneeded processes help too.
