Halo has to be the second most overrated.

 

I cannot understand for the life of me why Halo is so popular, its such a bland first person shooter.

Agreed on FF VII but I don't know Halo.
I would also say : FF VIII, FF X, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Zelda Ocarina of time, Castlevania Symphony of the night, Star Ocean 3, Suikoden 1.

WARNING: I'm not saying I don't like those games. Actually I really liked most of them but the "adoration" they get is a little too much for me.

 

i agree, FF7 is the most overrated game of all time. It;s just not what FF7 fanboys make it up to be.

Its good, yeah. But the best RPG of all time? I don't think so.

 

Agreed from start to finish.Chrono Cross is better and gets higher review score from metacritic.That shows that FF7 is overrated by its' fanboys.

 

i actually think Chrono Cross is overrated too actually, but mainly because it somewhat failed to match the success of Chrono Trigger, which is really tough to do.

Oh yeah, i didnt like how the game had 100+ characters, most of them had no storyline whatsoever. I like having lots of characters, don't get me wrong, but if that's the thing, I'd like all of them to have a significant link to the main story and not just be there for the kawaii-ness or something.
