A nice topic for a good metal discussion. Bands, releases, concerts and whatnot. So. Anybody hear like Dragonforce?
They're the band that has the song "Through the fire and flames" aye? That song isn't too bad. I like System of a down.
ahh yes, Iron Maiden > DragonForce, though DF are still pretty awesome. Im more into the softer metal/hard rock (Disturbed, Maiden, Metallica, crap like that) though i listen to a good deal of Cradle of Filth and a fair handfull of death and black metal, Behemoth! \m/
Yeah im a huge pantera fan, also Slayer, have the entire discography of both which I listen to constantly, not sure if tool comes into metal, kinda more alt. metal but big tool fan too.
I'm more into Thrash and Death metal. For example: Metallica, Slayer, Kreator, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Destruction, Children of Bodom, Dragon LORD and Sodom. Dragon Force sounds like "Im gonna slay a dragon" music. ;D
This thread had potential, until the first post where Dragonforce was mentioned. Anyways, if we're talking about the entire metal branch, there's some bands I listen to. For progressive metal, I listen to Dream Theater/LTE occasionally. Kamelot are, like, Melodic power-metal or something, but they kick ass. Reider introduced me to Protest the Hero, they're quite good too. The first two Nodes of Ranvier CDs rape face. In Flames is pretty good, particularly their album "Colony."
+10 Points for you. In Flames are my favorite band. I see nothing wrong with dragonforce. I feel this thread will die when emo/grindcore garbage is mentioned. I hope this never happens.
MCR and Anal Cunt anyone? Lets see here, In Flames gets an honorable mention as well as Protest the Hero, I'm also somewhat big on Bleeding Through, Lamb of God, and Unearth, I can listen to most metal but those bands stick out a bit more for me than anything. Also, Salt The Wound kicks serious ass, especially during a live concert. The only gripe I had was the room was too small for as big as the pit was
