I am very excited to see and play this game. It looks incredible. I mean Square Enix haven't released a PC game since FF 8. How cool is it to get a JRPG on PC. The game looks really good to boot. I have yet to see screenshots or videos of the character actually walking around but the gameplay videos of the fighting look really nice. Are any of you excited about this game? I sure as hell am. Square on PC....NICE!!!!!! Thoughts?
Funny guys. Now square has an awsome engine what do they do with it? Make another linear fantasy game*aaaargh* instead of a free/open world action RPG(and please fantasy setting again? what else, could the protagonist be an amnesiac? Is out to save the world? Is the bad guy either trying to take over the world or destroy it? Is he searching for the crystal of true love? Will he learn the meaning of freindship at the end? Or, is it just an exercise in cosplay/street fashion? What the hell!). I'd like to add that I dont own a console, I just borrow, and the clowns I borrow from always have some square games they'd want me to play. I'd choose not to but the games kill a lot of time. I'd also like to see what the hype is all about. But then its always the same bland uninspired thing. I don't really hate squareenix. I just got tired of them crapping out the same old things over and over again. I mean when will I get a decent front mission( or a front mission that plays like armored core at least?) When will they make a "hard" sci fi game like Mass Effect (Star ocean is just FF in space). And really I just outgrew their games, maybe someday you will too.
It was only a joke man. But you got to admit it was funny. CJ, everytime I see that I laugh out loud Look dude, you got the wrong idea. It's not about outgrowing it. That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. You have your opinion and we have ours. Maybe Square games don't appeal to you and that's fine. No one is forcing you to like them. Some people however are fans of the JRPG games they make and enjoy it. It's not about being childish or outgrowing them. Each to his own I say. If you don't like stop trying to persuade people not to like it as well. Sure there are many great games out there like Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Crysis etc, all non-JRPG games. But Final Fantasy is special to me personally for many reasons. I grew up playing FF 7, 8 and 9. I have played almost every Square game out there. I just enjoy the experience. I look past what you see as pathetic storytelling. Maybe you have a point on the story, sometimes it can get rather unoriginal but I still enjoy it. For me it's the gameplay that sets it apart from other JRPG games. I'm sure the last remnant will be another Square classic for me. Because I don't own consoles (aside from PS2 and PS1) I am happy to hear that it is coming out on the PC, as I don't get to play Square games beyond the PS2.
Last Remnant on PC? For real? The last time I check their official site i did not see an icon for PC.. only for PS3 and 360. I hope they brushed up the game for the PS3 release and PC release I really like the look and feel of this game.
Ok, reviving a dead post, but this game finally came out. I purchased it off course and I must say I am really impressed. The fighting is a tad different from regular square enix titles but it is really interesting. The story line is impressive and seems like a really decent port. Am very excited to continue playing this game. Going to be epic.
