The grammer and spelling of the site-and how we love it :)

Unlike many fourms I've seen, we (mostly) spell preety well, have reduced language (swearing, rasism, etc) and overall good grammer, sure for those who's english is taken back seat (can't help it-I know how it feels when I listen to mum ) but over all preety good...


So I ask everyone, who thought of the idea of enforcing this rule-other fourms are mixed or simply let the users fend for them selves (gamespot, etc)...?


They also need a salute!



Anyone who doesn't know, please state how you feel about it if you wish, might as well start another full blown topic XD

 

My grammar is pretty bad,and when I try to post something in this forum...
I'll try to my hardest to minimize my error..

and it's good to have someone to remind about your grammar and spelling when you didn't noticed it was wrong..

 

I do well in grammar

 

Mine isn't perfect-trying to type fast with these bony hands of mine XD


Plus there are many words I never had to spell before, and thus I just guess...it's better than spelling hate "hat" like I seen before..and other pathetic atempts at spelling words...


Oh well, we are human, but still, this is one of the few sites that requires it XD

Even my grammar is bad.I got 70% in English.It's a lucky situation.

but it's hard to write in english :s i have to spell check almost everything i write and even then i don't know if the sentence is correct

 

You're all coping pretty well I think. I'm British so obviously my grammar is better than most Americans (joke). But you all speak English really well, and I can't speak a word of another language (I've forgotten nearly all my GCSE French). As long as I can understand what you mean, I'm happy with the way you speak English. So kudos, congratulations, well done etc.

i have to admit, when i first joined i was posting in chatting language but i soon realised the error in my ways...plus people started telling me off...

 

Maybe I should take a english tuition then..hm...
