the DS games crap has to stop

I'm talking about crappy games like Zhu Zhu pets and Pet shop etc. the whole front page is piled up with useless horse feces. they aren't even considered games.

 

I haven't seen an topics of Zhu Zhu pets except for in Game help.
What are you exactly meaning by your statement?

Well Romulation is doing what they do.
When a rom gets dumped its on the top of the list.
Don't blame Romulaion for not having any decent games.
Because no decent games have been dumped.

 

Of course, you have to consider the audience/intended age level/demographic/gender for those games.

He's a fellow shovel ware hater like me, it's not gonna happen however...

These games are focusing on kids who don't have a concept on what a decent game is, and it's abuse of license, while annoying, brings in steady sales to the companies.

They are cheap, easy to play, and designed to be beaten without much of a thought so they (the parents) are forced to buy another, and thanks to this money there will be more ds until sold to cater for these stupid kids...so it's a hit for nintendo, and a miss for us hardcores.



What i find funny, if you got any real nintendo games you notice a "nintendo seal of quality" on the packaging (the gold seal thingy), it was made there years ago because of all the shovelware flooding the nes, thanks to this if they lacked the seal-there was a chance of it not even working...sadly it's just there to say nintendo has went "yep it'll work and we know it" and not the triue seal of quality it was meant to be...


Or something about that licence fee that cost people $5 for each game sold (as in nintendo have to change $5 to each game made, nintendo made or not-and that's per cart and disc).

Listen dude, there are plenty of parents downloading for their kids, this saves them money...romU doesn't discriminate good from bad-another's trash is another's treasure.

 

that's the word I'm looking for. Shovelware. What happened to the good ol' days when the DS was focused more on teens than 7 year old kids?

 

Whether a game is good or not is subjective. If you're a 10 year old girl maybe you want to download Zhu Zhu Pets and you love it. If you're a Ninja, maybe you also enjoy Zhu Zhu Pets to the level of an unhealthy obsession where you go days without washing yourself and become manic and unpredictable...but I wouldn't know anything about that.

I just play Mario Kart.

 

Refer to my original post, these games are made for a commercial reason.


For people with flash carts it makes no sense because your not paying, plus these aren't meant for you

There's no point in you getting mad about a game being released that you don't like.
Just don't download it.

 

Maplestory Ds is released tomorrow, hopefully they'll get a good dump of that and then we'll have a "decent" game on the front page.

 

Hopefully it won't be as life consuming as its online version.

There are thousands of points i can argue with you but i'm not going to.
