The Day the Earth Stood Still

anyone watch it yet? i have, i like the movie, and the message it carry.

 

Watched it, got into it, but the ending was just too... meh.

 

I think the common thoughts on this movie is:

Keanu finally has a character that fits his acting style. An emotionless robot.

Well, it is a remake of an old "cult classic".

So I wouldn't expect it to be earth shattering. But it'd be worth at least one watch.

 

if you want to see a good film i'd suggest eagle eye and i'd go as far to say that in my opinion its the best film of 2008

 

Eagle Eye? Really? The best movie of '08? It was okay. Bad, bad CGI, and the plot looked like swiss cheese, but it does get a little props from me because it reminded me of Portal. Dark Knight was easily the best movie of '08, although it was quite a good year for movies.

Btw, something that always bothered me about eagle eye: (Massive Spoiler, I'll try to write it in white so its invisible, just highlight it)


: So the computer has no problem killing people with TRAFFIC LIGHTS but somehow Shia LeDouche manages to drive all the way to the super secret computer HQ? And was it just me or was the computer EXACTLY like GLaDOS in many ways?

 

Whoa! We almost had a spoiler there. I think I'll watch the movie. But, not right now. Maybe a little while after it comes out.
