Tenchu 2: Birth of Stealth Assasins. How to play on Psp???

I downloaded the .rar tenchu file and run it through simple popstation to get the eboot and keys. But when I put the game in my psp, it was just a broken file. I have been wrestling a year with tenchu and how to get it on my psp. I was happy when I finally spotted it on the trustworthy Romulation, my favorite and only site where I get PSP ISO's from. So I would like to know how I can play it on my PSP. Is ther e someone who can help me with this?

Get popstation, then poploader plugins on psp.

 

I already have 3.71 M33-2 and the PLugins. I can play lots of other psx games like Final Fantasy 7 or Legend of Dragoon. But it doesnt work with tenchu.

 

When you downloaded it from romulation, have you actually tried it yet? Because I can play tenchu 2 on my psp (ripped from my own cd) and im guessing maybe the site you previously downloaded it had a broken/corrupted file.

what is the name of the file and the extension?

if it is anything but EBOOT.pbp then you'll need to convert it.

 

The whole file contains a .ccd file, a .img file and a .sub file. I used the popstation program and it could only eboot the img file. Did I do something wrong?

 

No, just make sure to keep those other files in the same directory when converting the .img.

 

That's what I did. I used popstation and got the eboot and keys and when I did it on my psp it was a broken file.

something has gone wrong during the conversion.

Try a different converter, but first download ePSXe 1.7.0 (the PSX emulator for PC) and run it on that to see if its the ISO itself causing the problem. If you can play it fine on either your chipped PSX or on ePSXe then try a different converter, it sounds like youve played PSX on PSP before so im sure youve got everything in the right folders.

Personally I use popGUI or PSX2PSP to convert my ISOs to EBOOT. Ive had corrupt files a few and reconverting them with either the same program or a different one has solved the issue. If you need the BASE.pbp file for PSX2PSP then PM me and ill upload my one for you

I did all the tutorial said me to do but when I pushed the convert it said it couldnt open the base.psp
What should I do now??????

I made my own base.pbp using the knowledge on google (I dont know if I did it correct) and put it in my "files" as PSX2PSP. When I tried to convert Tenchu at the end it reported:

"Cannot find STARTDAT in Not a valid PSX eboot.pbp"

Well, I did everything you told me with the ePSXe and the PSX2PSP. Tenchu also didnt work on my psp, although it did work on the epsxe (it was going superfast). But I wasnt using the eboot.pbp. That didnt work so I used Tenchu's .img file and played it. It worked just fine (with superspeed)

What must I do now?

what version of pops are you using? certian versions of pops run better with certian games. Try upgrading your PSP to 4.01M33-2 and installing every version of pops. Then enable each pops version one by one and try tenchu with each different pops version.
