Haven't seen any thread that focused solely on Tekken yet, so let me start this. Lately I've been really into Tekken. I mean, spending hours on end getting my characters to Tekken God on the PSP. Let me start by asking, who's your favorite character, and why? I personally LOVE Bob. He's fast, got an arsenal of fairly safe moves, and he's good at pretty much everything except lows.
It is. I've only played for under an hour, but it's ok from what i played. Not like Street Fighter II, but still good nonetheless. My favorite/the only character i have used, is Roger Jr.
Tekken is THE Fighting Game closest to real life fighting, in my opinion. Street Fighter is very much stylized and fantastic, but sometimes, what you need is a good beat down. Only Tekken delivers for me. Roger Jr. is a good character to start with. Could pull off a decent combo with two buttons or so.
Have you ever seen the Virtua Fighter games? They are much (MUCH) more accurate (and technical) then Tekken. Tekken went a bit crazy after 3, but oh well. I've got to say, my favorite character is Leo, because she's balanced, has a good ground and juggle game, uses Bajiquan as a fighting style AND is what Rock Howard should've been: a frickin' girl.
SF4 fanatic here, but i USED to be a Tekken fan, until they became all juggly in 3. My favorite Tekken woul have to be Tekken 2, and my favorite character is Nina.
Absolutely right about the 8 hit Ling juggles starting in 3, but I loved her for her tricky speed. I had a theory about an infinite juggle combo with Nina, but I never really finished it. 3 and beyond are really nice for head to head. If you got 3 people then you go DoA2+. After I beat the game on 2 with every character, I never touched it again since I was only playing solo. I think I got more play out of the original.
Steve and Law r my fav but I also like to play with paul that charge punch that he does is awesome when you get it off.
jin kazama is my favorite cuase of the gnarley combos you can make with him and hes a vary fast counter blocker right next to kazuya but most of all his hits are all very affective i love tekken every one of them never played anyone else but mayb king and lei.
Tekken is very hard but i got used to it after the second game. i still need to work on the sixth game.
Bryan fury and hwoarang are my favourite characters. Bryan does a lot of damage and hwoarang kicks any character´s ass with his kicks. By the way arent you tired of bosses like jinpachi and azazel? they can kill you with 3 or 4 hits while your attacks do less damage to them. where are those classic bosses like heihachi and ogre from the firsts tekken games?
