Surplus Points

I don't know how long I've been on RomUlation, but I must have been on for a looong time. I have over 7000 points now and none of the roms I've downloaded cost anything (i've been downloading NDS roms) so right now I'm wondering, can we think of a more creative way to use these excess points?

 

not that I know of and I have over 10k now with absolutely no use for them. lol

until a sweet NDS game or a PSX game gets uploaded anytime soon, the points will just keep accumulating.

what DO we spend our points on since over 70% of the NDS games aren't worth points?

 

Dl games and sent them to me?

I dunno about you guys, but the 10k points i bought today are going fast from downloading PSX ISOs . Maybe its just my preference though

 

has to be preference because I only get NDS games from here.

and I have a LOT of PSX ISOs from last year.

 

Probably an option for still limited but slightly faster downloads with cost of more points?

 

Lots of people have a lot of points, the point of the download limit was to reduce load etc. on the server, being Premium you can download faster though. Quote a lot of people would take advantage of that offer. Me, my internet speeds can't get up to 300kb.

 

Sheesh, whoever would think that finding a way to get rid of excess money could be such a problem. But I do like the idea of a faster download for more points.

Ooh, another idea! could we use them for preventing certain ads from appearing for us?

again, the points aren't worth money. Think of these as ChuckE Cheese Tokens. They're not redeemable for cash, meaning that there is no reason to save them outside of ChuckE Cheese.

Faster download for more points might work on larger files. (again not NDS files)

@anand. 300 KB/s in general or just on this server? 300 on the server is pretty decent. 300 max in general, is good depending on what kind of ISP you have.

insane, regular members can download up to 300kb, Premium goes faster. On this server and in general, I have a 256k connection. The faster downloads for more points is dumb for some console downloads, a lot of people have heaps of points, that will add a lot more stress.

I said that by making faster downloads, it takes away the point of premium.

@anand again: I have never noticed the 300 KB/s cap since by the time I even notice what speed it's at, the file's done.
