I'm trying to convert my avi files to rmvb, since I have a DS, I might as well find a DPG converter, then I ran into eRightSoft's Super Video Converter. I googled Super video converter ''virus'' but some say it's safe and some don't. So...has anyone tried using this software and is it safe?
I use it as well... It's alright with my 2.49Ghz processor and 224mb of RAM... And I haven't ever recieved a virus from it... The website does state that the Source code of it is editable, so when downloading it from anywhere else (That isn't the eRightsoft's website) then you'll be likely to get a virus.
Okay thanks! I'll try download it. Edit: Hmm.... I never knew it would be this hard to use. Any short tutorials on converting avi into rmvb?
well, your best bet would be trial and error(you can master it this way, imo.) just like me. just don't make them bigger than they already are, else you risk losing quality, just don't make them into .mkv's, I hate them, you can't do ANYTHING with them besides viewing them.
Yeah it's not user friendly AT ALL. Which is one of its downfalls. And as Omega said, It'd be best to do trial and error without changing the quality settings too much.
I also tried Super a long time ago ... Converting a 600MB Avi file takes forever to a DPG ... But I used this method and it never failed for me . First you need to download BatchDPG . Here -> http://www.mediafire.com/?2jnpgdeimzi Then you need to download Winavi video converter http://www3.winavi.com/download/WinAVI_Video_Converter.exe WARING !!! NOT A FREE PROGAM (WINAVI) 1. Convert the Avi first to an MPEG or MPG with WinAvi (sorry i forgeted wich file) because BATCHDPG don't suport converting avi files . This will take about 10 minutes 2. Then convert the MPG / MPEG to an DPG Witch BatchDpg make sure you have the BATCHDPG setting like this : I'l hope this is usefull
