This should NOT be happening--Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a rar file which is 6.9 GB in size, and takes upwards of 12 hours to download on my internet connection (128 KB/s--please don't laugh; it's all we can afford), keeps breaking during the download process, and I'm getting fed up with it. I don't have the time to waste on a download which insists on breaking (thus denying that which I intend to download). I may have to search (possibly futilely) for another place which has this particular ISO. I hear *removed* is good...
Sorry you think it shouldn't be happening, but this is the internet, it simply is not possible to control what happens to the data once it leaves our server. Likewise it is not possible for us to prevent your (or anyone else's) connection from being interrupted, that is the nature of the internet. We support download resuming with download managers (many sites do not), we allow free re-downloads for 72 hours from the time the first download was started. That is about as much as we can do to prevent issues such as what you are experiencing.
Choosing to go to another website to download won't make any difference, you overlooked that the issue is with your connection being unstable not the host site you're downloading from. Furthermore, you acknowledge it yourself that your internet connection isn't one of the best but have to make do with due to budget. Best you can do is take preventive measure when downloading, by using resumable download manager program, so that if it (the download in progress) gets cut off partway, you can resume from where it got cut off (unless certain sites doesn't allow use of download managers).
