Suikoden Tierkreis help needed

Hi I just started playing the game and am now on my way to fulfilling some quests (specifically 3rd Empress Consort quest), but my main Hero is always alone, I don't know how to add party members for quests. When I talk to Marica back at HQ all she says is "Dirk...how could he have done such a thing?" -_-"
Help!

 

You probably have to finish another main-story quest before you can do side-quests.

 

Go to the 1st Floor Entance..
and then go to the left.
Talk to Erin..and change your party..

It also can be done from the town Inn..

 

Thanks guys help appreciated! Now I can send the irritating 3rd Empress Consort to Sansabil
