I want to catch up on the suikoden series particularly on the ps2 console. Just finished Suikoden III. I noticed that there are 2 suikoden IV for download here in romU: 1.) Suikoden IV (U).rar -https://www.romulation.org/roms/PS2/Suikoden-IV-%28U%29.rar/ 2.) Suikoden IV (UNDUB) (U).7z -https://www.romulation.org/roms/PS2/Suikoden-IV-%28UNDUB%29-%28U%29.7z/ I download the 1st one since its the bigger file, while the 2nd one says UNDUB, (I believe thats the Japanese version, right?) After in finished downloading, i unrar the file but it said the file is corrupt. My question is, is the file corrupt as is or is it because of the download process? Also, why is the 2nd suikoden IV UNDUB but its labeled US Region? Should i redownload the 1st Suikoden IV or try the 2nd Suikoden IV?
UNDUB means the in-game sounds are in Japanese, but the game itself is in English. I'm not sure what causes the "corruption" you meant, but possible reason; 1. your WinRAR copy is old and needed updating (update it and try decompress again) 2. download was partial due to a 'hiccup' in your connection, causing some data loss in the file downloaded (try download it again) 3. file itself might be corrupted during compression (nothing you can do until moderator/admin re-upload replacement) But yes, do try downloading the UNDUB, see if that one works or not. If it doesn't, most likely it's either no.1 or no.2 that causes the file not usable.
It was no. 2. I tried redownloading the file since it didn't cost me additional points and it worked. After I play this, i might download the UNDUB version to hear the japanese in-game sound. Thanks man!
