    Hooo......
    Another Lab assignment..... :(

    This time..
We have to make our own Restaurant/Cafeteria websites..
    It must be ORIGINAL...

I need some ideas from you guys(man and women) who loves to eat or not.. :p
What should I do with it, what should I add?
    A menu? Drinks? Food?

Oh yeah, my lecturer also demand us to put the.... "how many people have visit the website" or whatever you call it( which you can see at the bottom of the pages on some sites)..
    Put hyperlinks(to where??), music(what music??)...
I'm completely run out of ideas...

    Oh..
Please put the Codes as well... :)
and I need those codes and suggestion FAST!!!(sorry)

*if you didn't know about the codes..just put your ideas...that can be help too.. :)
    Thanks!!

He wants you to put a hit counter on it? That's so...amateurish. Ditto the music.

Some things you might want to include:
    - Menus
    - Maps to where you're located
    - Other contact details
    - "About us" page
    - Pictures of food
    - Online delivery?
    - Perhaps you could incorporate some Flash too, if possible
    - A comment in the HTML code saying "tehuber1337 was here" (that used to be on NDS-Roms, too :p)

Actually, depending on what kinda restaurant/cafeteria you've got, some nice classical music might not be out of place.

    Oh nice suggestion there..
but the only problem is the codes... :(

    and about the counter hits..
    maybe something like this...
    number of vistor
    [ 14567 ]
and change when a person visit the page..

    Oh..why?

There was a thread somewhere around here regarding HTML code and such, IIRC. Otherwise, the rest of the internet is an invaluable resource.

as tehuber said, no decent professional website displays a hit counter, and background music is a MASSIVE no-no. I would respectfully point this out to your lecturer; it is now 2009 not 1995, and the internet has moved on from such tacky practises.

I would also have a page displaying any awards you might have won (in the UK we have the AA star rating awards, good food guide awards and stuff) and maybe some favourable reviews of your establishment. You could also have a 'vacancies' page for new staff.

    Sorry,
Most of us really hate that kind of lecturer.. :)

    By the way,
for vacancies...you mean make a toolbars??
    if yes..what are the codes??

no, vacancies are job openings. say you need a new waitress or chef, you advertise on your vacancies page: 'Now hiring: Chef' and the requirements or something similar. It just needs to be a single page with a list of jobs and the requirements for each, and maybe some contact details for further information or to apply for a position.

Because your lecturer will immediately be amazed with romulation and then will give you 100000/100

Make sure you include lots of food pics !

    Oh,
    what kind of food?

    Suggest something for me. :)

Preferably Western and Eastern food...for average/high class people

you could put dietary/nutritional information on your menu for each dish, as well as the 'suitable for vegetarians/vegans' where appropriate. If you wanted to go even further, you could indicate food that is suitable for diabetics. (that would mean stocking diet soft drinks, and fresh fruit juice).

    Is that relevant??

It all depends on what kinda restaurant/cafeteria you're doing. If you're doing a steakhouse, for example, then woks on fire wouldn't make any sense.

    Maybe the simplest one... :)
    How about the dropdown menu?
    Should I include my staff?

Depends if this restaraunt is a one off, or a chain restaraunt.
But definitely pictures that are relevant to the restaurant type- other wise it will look really stupid and like you don't care.
    when is this due?
