step by step guide to emulation?

    hi guys, could someone help me pls..i was hoping someone would be kind enuff to give me a step by step guide on installing a n64 emulator onto my pc, and also explaining once its downloaded how you get it to work...ima bit of a dummy you see he he..but you dont know till you ask..rite!?

    generally you extract the emulator to a folder on your hard disk, extract a rom and run the emulator. You might have to configure the emulator but to help you with that we need to know your computer specs (processor, ram and graphics card) and what emulator (name and version) you are using. 1964 and project 64 are the best.

    thanx buddy, got ridge racer 64 on winrar'd it to open it....and played it on my pc no problem..ahhh the sweet smell of nostalgia!
    wen i winrar the file tho it gave me multiple files is this normal...so when project64 asked me to load file i picked the first file of the new multiple ones and it worked...why are there so many files that appear for ridge racer....?

    if you want. There's a slight chance that some of them may have bug fixes, but most likely they're just different regions and/or dumps produced by different people.
