does Hikaru no Go and Cooking Master Boy fall into here?

 

Hikaru no Go is a "board game" based Anime so no, but mind you I know that The Japanese are passionate about Go & Shougi

Cooking master boy doesn't

 

well i know how to play Go...however i never able to master it.....

 

Go seems easy, It's like chess.. predict, and you'll win

 

however predict is the hard part....my prediction never works and always backfire......maybe need i to learn to "read ahead" like Hikaru.....

 

but in Go, you can't lost a piece in one turn, and it's all abotu setting up

 

well my setting up skill is bad then....maybe go isnt for me....

 

if you can trap a pig, you can play go, and I have trapped a pig before....on a fieldtrip.. we were trying to catch a pig...

 

well i never trap any thing before... I never catch any animal before....expect by fishing.

You might also forgot the older sports manga / anime made by Mitsuru Adachi like:

Rough - A Swimming anime / manga..
Touch - A baseball anime / manga about twin brothers with the same gift.
H2 - A baseball Anime / Manga
Katsu - A boxing Anime / Manga

They were very famous in the 80's and there were also movies and live action made from this manga / anime.

 

I didn't know that there were already animes during the 80s
