speed up charmap.exe (character map) launch in windows 7 64 bit?

    Hey.

    Since I'm currently taking a spanish class online (and my laptop doesn't have a numpad) using the character map is a must (i even have it pinned to my bar). However, no matter how much CPU I'm using, it always takes about 3 minutes for charmap to start up! It's a tiny program so I don't see why it's so hard to launch it fast. Is there any optimisations I can add to it or anything of the like to get it to launch faster and waste less time waiting for it?

    no, but you do have a numpad. You just have to hold the fn key as well, and use the (usually blue) numbers on the keys at the right hand end of the keyboard.

    I don't have them :p I tried using fn+alt+160 (produces á) with my number keys on the top row but they just made error sounds and didn't do anything :p

    If there's no way to speed it up tho, that's ok. Just wondering.

    (and yes, i did keep this message box open and unposted in for 3 minutes waiting for charmap to start up so i could add in that a -_-)
