not enough information, theres a massive difference between a core 2 and a P4. Also a 256MB video card is a bit old, but without knowing the model I can't say otherwise.

don't know without looking up the components, but I'd say around $2k at least.

$2k so that adds to 100k in our currency and means 11 months of work without spending any of my salary and speaking of that i dont have a job and im a thirteen years old

    that's not average, loony, that's high-end.

my processor is a phenom X4 @ 2.2GHz and it does everything I ask of it, still performing greatly during games. if you wnat a better one, then 2.4 or 2.5 GHz should be enough.

my graphics card is a hd4850. yep, not the best out there (quite crappy compared to many others), but the gtx280 is the second best card out there. you could try the hd4870 1GB if you don't want it that expensive, but still maintaining high performance.

my motherboard is completely fine, and it didn't even go over 100€. however, there is plenty of better motherboards out there, so 150€ would be best, at least.

as for the disks, well, getting a raptor (10000 rpm) would be great, it reduces loading/saving times by a lot. but they're rather expensive, so if you can't get one, then there's no problem. also, in a while, SSDs are going to get lower prices, and SSDs are a lot faster than raptors. apart from that, get a 1TB regular disk.

for the ram, sure, get the fastest you can, as much as you can. be sure to get an os that fits, 32bit OSs only allow up to 3.2GB. a modified 2003 allows up to 32GB.

if you do get only that, then a 750W PSU should suffice, but get one of those brands.

for a keyboard, get something that allows more than 5 keys to be pressed at the same time. i don't really know the advantages of getting a logitech g keyboard and mouse, so tell me.

that'd reduce a lot the final price. maybe $1250 total.

gaming PCs are inherently high end compared to normal PCs, and that is about a mid range gaming PC.

Can I trust the game requirement behind the DVD case?

My PC got AMD Phenom 2.4 ghz and 2gb Ram, my HD is 500GB with GeForce 9800 GTX2 512 GDDR3...
And it's running smooth in everthing except a high end games ;D

nope, you always should have it quite higher than that. my older pc crashed on several games, despite having specs above the minimum required for that game.

i run all my games at the highest graphical quality, with the drivers also set to up both the image and the performance (overclocked).

AA increases the requirements significantly, drop it or turn it off entirely.

    jc_106 Well-Known Member

it does, it can lower you fps significantly. however, i don't see a major improvement when i turn it on.

    AA = Anti-Aliasing?
I've tried turned it off,but still the game in slow-motion mode..

have you messed with the drivers? like, turning on AAA, anisotropic filtering, etc.

i put those to the max, but i had to overclock the GFX card, otherwise i couldn't play some games.

  19. meganova

    meganova Well-Known Member

    Nope,
    I'm using GeForce 9500GT.
    and in default mode.

    By the way,
have you tried this game yet?
Many people from other forum also have the same problem and still no solution until now...

    jc_106 Well-Known Member

well, a geforce 9500GT isn't a good graphics card, fits in the mid-low range. that'd most likely answer it.

if that's not the reason, then i'd say it's bad code.
